Very nice catch. Looks like a very nice launch site as well
Nice haul man, especially from a shore dive!
Wish I could shore dive fish like that!
Beautiful catch.

Very nice catch. What kind of snappers are those?
Buenos Huachis, felicitaciones!
José
Nice catch. The ones with the hint of yellow look like a hybrid b/w a mutton and a lane snapper. I am sure they taste great.
Nice Huachinangos. Was that shore diving? Nice!
Nice fish and dive spot. Also that is a very cool truck
Thanks! the catch was about 50 - 70 meters from the shore! at 12 meters deep..
I found the name in internet "RED SNAPPER" this is my firs time catching them in this size
i belive is the cold water.....
It doesn't look like a red snapper, they don't have the yellow color and dots. This is what a red snapper looks like.
But you're right in that an online search for Huachinangos brings up Red snapper. Perhaps it is a hybrid or some local variation. I'd be interested to know for sure.
Thanks sdeisen.
it's a friends truck, nice to go to spear some fish

Por cierto se supone que son Lutjanus guttatus Spotted rose snapper. That´s the fish.
I think Sadot got it DNA Barcode Sequences for Seafood Species Identification: Lutjanus guttatus, Spotted Rose Snapper, FDA Market Name: Snapper. First time I see this fish.

That fish is call here in my town "flamenco".
Buen azul.
Same fish has different names over the same Country. For sure that's what's going on here. In Venezuela you could find 4 different names for the same fish. I/E: Bonito, carrachana, cabaña, bacoreta, caballa.
As I can see, these snappers are from the Pacific side. I would love to go spearfishing there one time.
