A bad day fishing is ALWAYS better than a good day at work.

  • Ya'll will be happy to know my hand has healed. Some more scabbing needs to form and fall off but it's a sure thing now. One wound could've been stitched but I didn't bother. I was confident after the second day it wasn't getting infected. I'm ready to hit the water.

  • i would be a little proud if I were you..I mean you are doing protection training and your student is clearly doing great !!

now maybe a little bit of target identification training is in order :)

  • I'm fine now thanks.

Lunkerbuster, those are some good observations. I am proud of the progress of the dog, he's come a long way in a short time. Also the breed from my experience doesn't often show this kind of potential. Targeting is the next step. This is where the dog learns to bite protective gear that the man is wearing.

  • very cool Dan, how did you learn to do this sort of training? I have always loved to work with my dog, but I only know how to do obedience and trick training. I'd love to get him to know how to do more service oriented work. any tips?
