• How old is he now? Looks about 3.5 months?

I wanted to buy his dad at first, but that dog likes to bite so much that even bites his own handler, (training) and something strange about him is that he goes for real, that means doesn´t go for the sleeve, but tries to nail the flesh instead haha. His mom is a frigging arrow, flies and everything when attacking. This puppy is exactly 3 aznd a half months, you have a good eye.

  • Because of this thread (and ebay)... I now have 10 camping stainless steel mirrors, strips of reflective tape, 7 mini disco balls, and a collection of empty chip bags in my living room. <img src= " class="smiley" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x" height="23" width="23" loading="eager" data-tooltip="biggrin" aria-label="biggrin">

  • was inspired by monsteer's post and decided to make some dirt cheap flashers for the reef..my idea was to copy the ballyhoo dredges that are dragged as marlin teasers.

I cup up a 2 lt pepsi bottle, the top piece is meant to act like a flat blade spinner to get the thing spinning and there are one or two trailers that are cheap bait shaped imitators ...used some strips of safety tape...it's held up in my fins for over a year on the garas.

tied w 100 lb spectra line....i figure either using a plastic bottle as a float w a 3oz weight or just clipping it to the anchor line...they spin nicely in the pool

I will be tying them off about 3 ft apart on a main line of spectra. i figure the whole thing will be about 10ft long.....i feel like that is too far apart to look like a school but idont want it to get tangled either...have to test it and see what happens

  • I'd be careful about hanging that flasher off the handle of your gun. I use aluminum tape on my fins and the tip of my gun and have been hit by barracuda.

  • It wasn't a very big cuda and he only hit the tip of my fin so he didn't actually hit me, but it was at full speed. I was diving on a hog in the Bahamas when I felt an impact on my right fin. I looked up and what was probably a 2 foot cuda was swimming away. It wasn't a big deal but it made me glad that I didn't have anything shiny on my body.

  • Cool story. One of my beginning spearfishing experiences was a cuda yanking on my float line to which the stringer with a fish was attached. A shark hits differently, he can take your fish without you knowing. I once thought that cuda can only bite full speed in order to eat, until I saw a small one nibbling on the reef like any other fish.
