Hi, my name is Mike. New to speardiver but not to spearing. I have done scuba spearing for a while, now I have been freediving for about 3 years (never new it existed in the pacific northwest) and have met some other freedive spearos since then. I love the freedom and simplicity of it. I picked up a pole spear and have been using it a lot more than my speargun. Hope to learn a lot here to better my skills and meet more fellow spearos.
Hello From Gig Harbor, Wa.

Welcome. I lived in Seattle but found the water too cold for a tropical born and raised spearo - sorry I didn't get in the waters of Puget Sound. Beautiful place to live and apparently to dive. Welcome

Yeah another north west guy on here! Welcome! I believe searun is from your area but he hasn't posted in a while.

Thanks everyone. Yeah treebilly3 searun is close, we dove a few times. Been busy the past year with work. Getting my jet ski together lately, mounted my gps/fish finder now making a gear rack for it. Can't wait for lings to open up. Also might try spearing halibut this year.

Welcome. What's the water like up there?

Haha. I did cold living in Colorado. Coldest dive 37 degrees. Ice dam came in on us. To cold to think straight

Welcome. I love diving the Washington coast. Can't wait to see some of your pictures.

Cold and wet says it, lately we've had nice air temps though. Great place to dive, not the bright colors and good viz of warm waters but lots of life.
