ne mistake I want to share it the calculati for the filling graphite should be by volume and not by your estimation , easily formula 1cm3=1milliliter so if you have 1.5cm*1.7cm*130cm you need 331 mL from epoxy and don't forget the loss you can add 10-20% more
-
It takes a lot more epoxy then u would think. On my 58" roller gun it took 23 pumps of west coast 209 and resin and I still could have put in 2-3 more pumps do to shrinkage.

Cool. Looking forward to more of the build!

slow down the temperature here is 45 Celsius ,humidity 80% summer already start

I have used graphite flakes and not powder because it wasn't available ,the results was unsatisfactory and flakes can't used for that ,before drilling the holes I made one sample and didn't waste time for repairing wrong holes ,trigger is neptonic euro ,pin hole located 1/8 from side and 1.5 from the front housing ,deep track router bit as in picture
I ll ask my wife to take pictures as I can see I don't have any skill for that -

ss works

Just a hint to everyone: a good and cheap spring stainless steel small diameter bar source is the cable that is inside the motor controls. If you get rid of the plastic sheath and you get a nice 3 mm thick coil of spring SS. I use ti for flopper pins and many more applications.

Which motor controls? Which motor?
-
Dan, I think Marco's referring to the cable that controls outboard steering.
Mosaad, If the track is an open deep track, why not just rout it into the wood? Also, if chipping is occurring you may need to add some milled fibers to your resin track. Also, make sure you cut the track slowly maybe only 1/16" with each pass. :thumbsup2:
Looking forward to the rest of the build. -
Damn, I replaced that cable on my boat last year and scrapped the old one. I did keep the nice stainless steel round bar from the end of it.
-
Not the steering but the speed/gear controls. The cables that go from the lever you move with your right hand to the motor.
Sorry about my shitty English... :rolleyes1:
Please someone who write it right.
-
Ah, Throttle cable makes more sense..
I usually just buy stainless steel wire from my local fishing store used for making swivel clips and such.

Pardon the derail mossad.
