Nice fish Judah! Were you diving the spot where we used to shore dive north of the cut? If so, that big coral head ALWAYS holds at least a hog or some bugs.. oh and a few nurses.

I like the vid, but I don't like to either "like" or subscribe.

How many times did I told you to go out and spearfish in Grenada... ;)

I guess it's much better than Florida if you know the right spots.

Hahaha I have come to realize that the north side of the island is a lot better than the south. But as far as pelagics go, the spearing is definitely better!!

And I can't believe nobody's mentioned it, but the guy's got free beer! What else is there to say? I'm thirsty now. *:toast: *And who doesn't love dogs, too? I'll tell you who. AL QEAIDA, that's who!

Haha, yes this is true, we do have free beer. I am not a pilot, I had a friend of mine take my go pro up and take a few videos of him flying. They are very cool to watch, but difficult to edit enough for me to be able to put them online. I did ring my camera up recently on a biplane ride and ot some decent shots as well.

I do appreciate the kind words, I try and help out as much as I can. There are a lot of unknowns here in the keys and much of the information can be misleading.*

The two dogs are my roommate and business's partner Nicole. The black and white one (Courage)is an American Bulldog English Pointer mix. The brown and white dog (Jack)is an Ibezan Hound. They are both great dogs, but*

By the same token anyone who's that much into it can disassemble a bought mechanism and make sure it's built to their satisfaction.

Ive taken everything apart from *mech and trigger assembly on all of my guns, wong, koah, the mako, and every other gn i have too. I took apart my pneumaitcs to rebuild and install dry barrel kits as well. Trigger mechs are usually 2-3 pieces and a spring. Very simple stuff. I have been taking things apart my entire life. And most importantly, putting them back together.. Between the rental and my store my life revolves around me fixing all types of things..*

OP I have good faith in you, you dont seem the type to skip on the details.*

Just wanted to share my newest video with you guys. I went spearing with a couple of my friends who also live in Grenada. We were about 4mi offshore in 1500' of water when a school of 4 wahoo came in on us. Unfortunately the only gun I have down here is a 75cm Mares, but my friend Anthony had a 110 Mako Oceanic Pro and was able to stone this wahoo by breaking it's back and was SUPER lucky when the flopper held onto a piece of skin just long enough for me to get there to grab the fish! The Spice Island Billfish Tournament was in town that weekend and we were able to reap the benefits of having a good moon and lots of chum in the water. I hope you guys like the video! If you do, please 'Like' and Subscribe!

Here are some shots from the GoPro.

You can see here how the tip of the spear is almost out of the fish and the only thing hanging on is the flopper on a little piece of skin!!

the gun recoil is what im referring to, if you arent holding it tightly it can slip out of your grip and hit whatever is behind the gun

I just hopped in the water and had one 18mm band on the gun. As i turned to look at my ski i grabbed the gun on the bottom of the barrel and BAM misfire. My head wasnt even in the water. It was due to an well used trigger mech. I have replaced it with a new one but havnt used the gun since. I am converting it to a roller gun over the next few weeks tho so hopefully it will get some water time.

The wind has been blowing like a bitch lately.

Dan i wish that were the case, but there are more elements involved. You could be lightly holding the gun in your hand, if it misfire and have it come back and hit your in the face the chest or anywhere else. Muzzle safety is a big part of not shooting someone, but it doesn't guarantee that no one will get hurt. Including yourself. I had a mako misfire and have it come back and almost break rib. Just a word of caution. No one wants to come on here and a post about you missing a few teeth or anything like that.

I like to refer to it as Minnesnowta.Thats funny, im jamming out to that album right now. People are walking by my store downtown are laughing their asses off. One couple started jamming with me a few minuets ago tho, haha. Good times

Thanks bro, Im glad i did too. A lot of people are fed up with the morons and the political bs from another site.... Blows my mind the amount of stupidity and arrogance that flows from the members /owners there. I know im not the only one looking for change.

Anyhow back to the regularly scheduled program. Band Is called weaksauce.

Its Pretty clear everyone is supportive of your efforts, but trigger mechs are a very important part of the gun, and making them by hand like this is not only dangerous, but very risky. It's like a ticking time bomb and you don't want to be nearby when it goes off. Im not saying that people havnt made their own parts like this but lets be honest If you need someone to mail you a trigger mech I'll be happy to do so.
I know I'm a newb to this board, but I'm not to spearing. I just want to make sure that you or your unsuspecting dive buddy doesnt get shot. The last thing anyone wants to see if you in the hospital or with a shaft stuck out of your ass like this poor guy. Either way, I applaud your efforts and hope it works out well for you:thumbsup2:
