Enclosed track speargun

    psychobilly---My goal with my "enclosed track barrel" thread was to gain enough information on how to build an enclosed track at home for ME to build the barrel.
    Tin Man was gracious enough to OFFER to build the barrel for me. ( he probably felt sorry for me trying to do it myself )
    Hopefully Tin Man did not feel pressured to build the barrel. That was not and is not my goal.
    I was not asking for someone to do the build.
    I was asking for everyones ideas and opinions on how to build the barrel. And if I could I could build the barrel without a shop or tools.
    Thanks for helping me with your ideas and opinions psychobilly and everyone else :toast:
    (I promise to shut up and just post pictures and condition reports as soon as I get this enclosed track gun in my grubby hands :D )

    Nothing of the sort. It's been a cold rain here for what seems like weeks, and my mind wanders and thinks of new spearguns and you guys down there in warm(er) waters. I just thought it seemed like a cool project, so I'm happy to help in whatever way I can.

    ooo don paul those bluetecs are raw as hellll.... the rob allen cf camo job he has on it is pretty awesome though it looks like that ocean born all the way to the right..
    p.s tin man u are a saint. i cant wait to con hau into letting me try this thing (if everything works out well)

    My friend and fellow gun builder John Warren used to paint his to look like Wahoo ...the gun later got named shark bait.:@ Spero's now are so lucky there is so much for the freediver now.

    spearos---todays update on the "ETPG" (Enclosed Track Pipe Gun) is that I ordered the CF tube today AND shipped a RA Vecta mech/grip and two muzzles to Tin Man.
    The mech/grip/muzzles should get to Tin Man 12-23 and the tube sometime after that.
    So now it just a matter of waiting for the parts to arrive.

    spearos---I just got off the phone with a great guy in Utah. His name is Adam.
    He makes CF tubes of the correct properties for gun barrels.
    He looked at Tin Mans drawing and said that his CF tubes would work for barrels AND he is interested to make CF barrels.
    I'm hoping that he registers on this forum as he would be a real asset to anyone that has any interest in CF products.

    Tin Man---yea, Adam seems like a very nice person AND he knows CF.
    I brought him here to look at your drawing on your 2nd post.
    He is not a spearo, BUT his Dad is so he has a little bit of a learning curve to get up to speed on guns.
    Best part is that he is INTERESTED to build gun barrels or at least supply CF barrel tubes.
    Sooooo----I ordered a CF tube from him also which he is shipping to you :)
    That way you can choose which tube you think is better suited for this project.


    (I told him that this was a nice friendly private forum and that if he wanted to view all and post that he would need to register. I said "You'll need to do the free registration if you want to post or view some of the private threads like the bikini section:rolleyes1: )

    Hey Hau, sorry for what I said earlier but I didn't mean it that way....what I meant was that you finally got to get your ''grubby hands'':D on the CFETGB (CARBOFIBERENCLOSEDTRAKGUNBARREL) that you wanted so much. Also I think it's very nice of Tin Man that he offered to do it for you, good people here. Anyways can't wait to see how that bad boy comes out.......:)
