Here's the new Marlin Roller gun, where is the enclosed track? It is supposed to be at the pinnacle of
technology.I'm not impressed with the bulk of the lower bands.
Primary band is 20mm with twin 16mm spider bands under the barrel. What do you guy's think.
I'll try to get a test clip.
Cheers ,Don

It's funny to see Marc Antoine Berry with such a refined gun. He looks to be in great shape BTW, he has to be close to 60.
What a waste showing this gun shooting fish in holes.
How do you figure out band stretch ratio on such a gun?
-
It would be cool to see a slow motion shot of that.

You have 2 16mm bands in parallel and those are in series with the 20 mm.
I would suspect you'd have to solve some sort of differential equation of motion. i.e. be a physicist or trial and error.

The first one I heard about had a 20 and two 16, I made a mistake the test talks a bout a 19 and two 16 spider bands.
At the end of the day one is still cocking 3 bands to shoot 20 feet with a metal slide ring on the shaft.:rolleyes1:

I have never dove with him but he has been a animal in the water for 40 years, I think he'll still be in good shape at 90. My friend Jack Prodanovich was like a rock too until he hit 85 and later died at 94.
Take care of yourself guys, and you'll be diving a long time.
Cheers, Don

no more marlboro reds and mcdonalds breakfasts and four hours of sleep?
-
cool gun from the country that brought us such visionary cars like the citroen 2cv and the legendary ds but for that kinda of cash it will look cool on the shelf for a long time.
