I took mi little boy out

  • Well,

Yesterday, after a while I had the chance to go out with a friend that lives in Ponce. I took mi little boy (Alessandro) who loves the sea and is always asking me to take him out.

Normally I don't because we go out for many hours, in rough seas, without a top and everybody wants to go into the water at the same time, but this time I knew that my friend was going to be in the boat :cool2:

The day was nice but very windy. The vis was ok but there was a strong current that made me difficult to relax in order to dive 70 + feet.

However I managed to spear this nice African Pompano (14 Pounds) and made my kid happy. He got many mojarras with his rod, but we released them.

  • What a cool picture...and a nice fish too. My 10 year old is the best thing in my life. Always keep him in the
back of your mind so a angle watch's over you two.
    All the best, Don

  • nice and beutiful picture:)...you must be a hero for him...yesterday i went to guanica there was good vis ...hope your boy become a spearo to..:thumbsup2:...marco how do you know when is going to be good vis?? i have this problem where sometimes but im telling you almost sometimes i get good vis..im opening a thread about this..

  • What did you do to the C4 fins?

What!? Can you see them? It's supposed to be a camo.... :D

Seriously: red color disappears after 30 feet or so, but can be seen very well from the surface. As I like to dive "deep", I did this to the fins. Is a good way to be seen from boats and not from fish.

It is red contact paper with some green painting. I used the cheapest spray paint available at Home Depot.

Check out this camo pattern for wetsuits. I would love to have one if they had it in 3 mm.

Maybe you can get that pattern from your supplier. ;)

  • Great pics Marco! Maybe one day he'll make you proud and become a spearo (and probably spear more fish than you do...:D). But seriously nice looking kid, God bless him. I wish mine were around to share the love for the sea but they're far away in Texas.....:(

  • Marco is a Great Father hes always out with his Kids doing sports and other things that kids like... :thumbsup2:
