I have Omer 110 Airbalete being shipped to Cali, after I shake it down and see if I can live with it, this will
be the first mod.

What! you made a wood handle for the epitome of pneumatic spearguns!
Nice work. Do you think it's going to match aesthetically?
-
That is a fine looking handle:thumbsup2:, also its being a looooong time since I use a pneumatic, please post any imput in this gun.
-
you make your own wood guns, handles, etc don paul?
-
that handle is beautiful, trying to add some bouyancy?

Yes, I have always built and used my own guns from 10 years old.I have a few in threads kicking around here showing a few of my creations.
The fine handle carving was done by a spero in France, it is very close to some of the handles I have carved
and shaped to fit my hand.that handle is beautiful, trying to add some bouyancy.Quote: Lunker Buster.
I'm going carry out tests, before I chose the density of the wood, and before I waste any time with that, I will evaluate the
Airbalate as a hunting tool for inshore huntting of 5 lb Calico bass and 50lb White Sea Bass.
As this gun will get mod'ed you, will most likely see a barrel which blends into green kelp fronds with a dense Cocobolo handle.
Cheers, Don -
nice!!!!! I would love to make my own guns....:thumbsup2:...you can do the gun the way you like it...

If I going to develop this fart gun, I'm wrapping my hand around some thick wood.:@:D;)
-
hahaha, Don, you fit in too well here :@

-
this thing is gonna be a sight to see

It must be hard to get the wood handle to fit exactly the contours of the gun. Does the handle of the airbalete work the same way as the cyrano as far as the grip sliding over a base?
-
Dan I will figure that out when the gun gets here in a week, here is the handle from France.
-
Nice. There is a guy in Spain that makes them in hard rubber. I will try to find the pics.

I have a latex mold for a cast rubber handle I'll have to find, I cast it to fit my hand.
The thing looks like it used to belong to Darth Varder.
I'm going give this gun a good workout before any BLING BLING and a Diamond Ring.:D
Cheers, Don -
looks very ergonomic, i like deep finger creases im surprised more gun makers dont use them

I have a have a Mares Titian pneumatic from the 7O's that has the best handle I have ever on seen on a production speargun. I try to carve all my gun handles close to it. I don't have a image sorry.
I'll take some pictures on the week end.
Cheers, Don -
As much as you like deep finger creases Steven I think this may be the handle for you
Pardon the derail Don

Hey, I thought we were friends ? .... Mi Casa Su Casa.:D

Tu casa my friend tu casa
So Don, do you really expect the Airbalete to shoot exceptionally or something? I mean you've shot all kinds of guns, are you really looking forward to some marked performance improvement? Or is this winter talk?
