Coming out quite nice Don! Can't wait to see it with the finishing coat on it.
Ooh weeee that is hot. What craftsmanship. Beautiful work on the finger grooves
Thanks guys I just love shaping wood with a chain saw...I mean belt sander and a careful hand. Just put it on the barrel so I could get a idea of the flow. These are like a surfboard blank at this early stage, lots of shaping and fitting to the hand before the the core and 2 sides are bonded with G-Flex epoxy and Phil Herranen system resin. I may burnish the finger recess's to add contrast before sealing.

Very cool Don! This is one tricked out gun!

I have two sets of gear for when you or Dan or come out some spring or summer.:D While I'm here this is the port plank taking a more refined shape...... I don't want to waste band width.:D:D;)
Cheers, Don
Don your posts are never a waste
I have to admit that turned out way nicer than I imagined.

Thank you from the Dark Side.... Wait till I Tig together a 110 Airbalete tank and a sawed off 90, slide in some fine polished Russian Ti tube for a inner barrel.... well if it happens it will happen here.;):D

It's coming out really nice.
It's coming out really nice.
Thanks Marco, it's getting closer to my original concept of a more refined and personally tuned speargun.
My favorite air guns from the past were the early Nemrods of the 50's and 60'.They were works of art built by machinists and tool makers that were hands on with every detail .
Cheers, Don
I really love the look of the Mango wood. Beautifully done.
Thanks Tin, Birds Eye Maple stained blueberry or Mango would make a cool Camo. I'm going to go forward with a blueprint I did back in 1985, that is where I first drew this type of handle shape. Soon my kid will be old enough to help as well.I'm going have him help finial sand the airgun handle, he loves working with his dad.
Cheers, Don
Don , that's the nicest fart gun I've ever seen ..
I heard that a 110 air gun = the power of a 130 band powerd gun,would you agree ??
Joe
My 115cm pneumatic with tovarich kit is pretty freakin powerful. But the 7mm spears bend too easy for me.
Harry that is such a setup for a joke about you needing to stone more fish
You are the man and a great spearo so you know its not true, but I couldn't resist
My seven band 100 will beat your pneumatic!:D:D:D
