I don`t know if the flashers I made were effective, but they are a helluva lucky charm. Cell phone pics and diving from coast, This feller was taken at less than 30 feet depth.

Nice fish....:thumbsup2: take that disco ball out to the fiery and hang it off the back the boat from a 100' current line.
Just make sure you don't shoot the big pet Mero inside the hull.;) Those big YT should be around soon.

Sorry fellows, I was working til late today. I am always reluctant to post a review, cause I seldom run into big fish. I always like to get enough fish for dinner and so on. Nothing special.
Sunday was a windy day and Tsunami reports were scaring people out of the ocean, but there are some die hard spearos that allways go against the current :). Told my wife that I was going to get my bodyboard with me, just in Tsunami case my dive buddy and I pump the inflatable raft and the dive was on. I mile off coast, there is a secret spot that most of the time produces nice cabrillas and pargos. The water was a bit murky and the current was strong. The cabrilla fell to the sniping accuracy of the Riffe euro cold on it´s tracks at the end of the day. I think is about 25 pounds tops. Very good for a shallow water fish.

Nice Cabrillas, I prefer the taste of this over grouper, they remind me of a big calico bass.
They freeze very well in vac bags, but you have them right at your door step.
Cheers, Don
