they had a ride back up :D, ren chapmen seemed like a pretty cool guy when he was at that little freedive infomercial at DD, freindly and easy to talk to and all, and his speaarfishing videos are really good in my opinion.

Great people right there all of them, bummed I didn't go do this with them when they asked.

I think it makes no sense. The achievement of diving to that depth was negated by useless antics, and the viewer experiencing confusion not knowing what assistance the freedivers received. It would have captivated me to watch the descent starting from the surface, and see the diver perform a simple task like unscrewing a bolt with a wrench, then return to the surface unassisted. Absurd that this is the way freediving is marketed to the public in order to sell freediving clinics.

If I want to see special effects I'll watch a spiderman movie. Spearfishing and freediving is something I like to keep BS free, maybe the only thing I have that's BS free. Sorry if my focus is too narrow for you.

The Guillaume Nery's Base Jump is pure art.
I would love to have the Base Jump video in 1080p to play on loop on the flat screen while not in use. (can't figure out how to rip vid's from youtube)

Yes I understand there is editing and multiple dives involved in these vid's(who cares). The message they relate, the creativeness/effort involved in there creation is just outstanding.

My name is Ren. Sorry that you hated the video so much. This was actually the first hate response to it that I have gotten. But, from the way you are talking you don't seem to be happy with much in life except your "No BS" diving. So with that said, sorry you had to endure it. Glad everyone else liked it. It took a lot of time and energy to do, so........

By the way, I live and work in NC so me sending you post on people that have died is doing zero promotion of our courses. I send this information so that you guys down in south Florida don't get yourselves killed. If you are on any of the other forums you would know that I send these warnings to all of them no matter where you live, if I know about your forum.

Steven, Thanks for the props. I liked you too and no matter what some of these guys say or how much promotion I may be doing, you should still consider taking a course. Not only will it make you a better diver but it will make you a safer diver.

I like the music.

I like the video it is creative, I also know Ren and the crew who put it on and they are stand up people, I have seen some dumb dangerous spearfishing videos and heard un safe snorkel in the mouth advice by psuedo trainers so to each there own I guess, it's just a video after all and we all are mature enough to see that, whether we agree with them or not is not so important in my mind. Ren is a good instructor and has helped many people become safer divers and that I respect, his video editing is also nice so I dont see what the big deal is.
