Would you spear this fish?

This thread is amazing. While I'd seen most of these fish before, there are a couple new ones to me in here still. Awesome pics all around.

In order to somewhat contribute to this thread, I'll throw in a few more. Personally, I've always been a bit more interested in cartilaginous fish, and this thread is in short supply of them, so I'll throw a few in here.
(If these pics need to be resized let me know and I'll try to take care of it tomorrow).

Bowmouth Guitarfish (Rhina ancylostoma)

Giant Freshwater Stingray (Himantura chaophraya)

Goblin Shark (Mitsukurina owstoni)

Megamouth Shark (Megachasma pelagios)

Frilled Shark (Chlamydoselachus anguineus)

And to answer the question in this thread, once I have adequate gear and some experience spearfishing, I'd be willing to shoot most of these fish provided that they aren't extremely rare. I think as far as spearfishing goes, with the exception of some of the really big sharks, I think I'd probably find trying to spear a swordfish or other billfish scarier than most fish with relatively formidable teeth.

Lunker, in that case you'll be glad to know that they're relatively uncommon, typically found in deep water (generally 160-660 feet, though they've been found from the surface to 5150 fsw), and not too large, with a maximum known length of 6.6 ft (2m)...Then again, there's speculation that either much larger ones or a giant relative may be responsible for some of the legends of sea serpents throughout history..

yeah, they are sea monsters for sure

it has no dorsal fin,, thats weird for a shark,, but then again its a weird animal to begin with

shark is just a label...we are not used to accepting magic and monsters in our day to day...shark sounds more rational than dragon

I wouldn't shoot a ribbonfish, first, they look like if you shot them they would zap you or something. and they dont look like very good eating

That is a maori humpheaded wrasse. I think you would go to gaol over here if you shot one.

They get massive- there is supposed to be one around 150kg I think the biggest is 190kg

What about this one? I guess these are hunted in some parts. But can you imagine this thing wrapping itself up your gun, around your mask.. I leave these alone and hope they leave me alone.
