    we ALL were just happy to finally get back out onto the water:thumbup:

    Scott is havin a bad luck streak :(
    I was out lots longer than scott an only got 5 porgies and 1 nice mutton
    The sea state was beautiful today
    The water tempature is on the way up and the sun feels good :thumbup:
    I had a bad moray and bull incident today on the 2nd reef.:(
    I'll write THAT story next post

    This story may get long.
    It is about HAVING to use my Tin Man spike to fight off a big moray AND bull shark today.


    I saw some nice black margates around and under a ledge, I circled the ledge to get the best angle under the ledge, breathed up and dropped down to the reef floor at aprox 30fsw. I crawled closer until a 20in or so margTE showed himself broadside. I aimed and squeezed the trigger. The shaft hit the margate mid body and he started flipping around on the reef top for a few seconds. Then all of a sudden a BIG green moray lunged out from under the reef and grabbed my fish and tried to pull the fish down into his hole. The fish was midway on the spear and the moray couldn't pull the fish in. The moray vishiously thrashed the fish and spear around trying toi get the fish down into his hole in the reef. I'm on the surface trying to get a plan to gert my spear and fish
    free of the moray. This tug of war went on for about 2-3 minutes.

    awesome day today, probably one of the mmsot beautiful days well have this year,, paddled out past the second, haus anchor line showed 60 soemthin feet. seas flat and suun shiining. i got one 20ish mutton and petted a few nice hogs. scott got a few hogs and im not sure what hau got.

    was exactly as sdeisen said. What a beautiful yak/spearin day :thumbup:
    I got 2 margates an 4 porgies
    We paddled out to the outside of the second and saw no fish so we turned and swam/towed in to shallower water and started seeing / shooting fish in 35-40fsw.
    Hogs are in the 40fsw or less at Meade and Ft. Lauderdale other spearos reported today.
    Hogs an others are bitting well on spring steel and SS shafts with FAST presentstion <img src= " height="23" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x">
    Everybody is now down to wearin just 3mm suits :thumbup:

    LunkerBuster--I'll try to finish the bull and moray story in the next day of so. If you notice, I fell asleep writing the beginning of the story.:)
    The moray got a sore head and no fish. :nono:
    The bull got a very sore nose and only 1 fish. :nono:
