beach/yak spearos---I would caution anyone about near shore conditions.
During this blowing weather I have been riding my bicycle up and down the coast.
I know that most spearos are good swimmers.
I talked with several LG from 77th up to Dania Pier.
They ALL report "numerous" rescues of swimmers and surfers within that zone due to high surf and rip currents over the last 6-7 days. These saves generally do not get reported, as near drownings are "bad for the tourist business".
Hope this helps
that is very true Hau...I have been a competant swimmer my whole life, working as a LG at my local JCC as a kid and helping with volunteer beach watch on KB when I was in high school...I am a STRONG guy in the water and I have been in a few hairy situations when Tropical activity off the coast had things stirred up...
DONT THINK YOU ARE TOO GOOD OF A SWIMMER TO BE SCREWED...no fish or gear is worth your life..pursue vertical snappers this weekend
