Broward Beach Conditions

    i wanna dive tomorrow but it looks ugly....think I will head to the jax at 930 and see what the viz is like....anyone who wants to head out ...look for my flag (huge) on the first reef or over the jax

    At Dania pier beach this morning [3-28]


    wind from SSE at 20mph
    reported water temp of 73deg
    seas 4f breaking on the beach
    air temp. 76deg cloudy


    I was there today at 9am. Didn't get in. The conditions were worse than 2 days ago.:(
    More of the beach N of the pier is washed away with a 2-3f ledge left from the pier North past half way to the inlet where I stopped. The beach erosion ledge extended as far as I could see North.:(
    Watched the 2 or 3 kite boarders till one got knocked down by a wave and drug to shore by his kite:(


    You didn't miss anything today Core.
    If a spearo DID get into the water he might be missing a lot of expensive gear today:nono:

    spearos---looks like aprox 3-4 spearos are meeting at 77th and Collins at aprox 9am.[3-29]
    I doubt that the conditions will be do-able, but many of us need a salt water fix.^^
    Any and all are welcome, though we may not even get in the water.
    I'll check back here around 7-730am if anyone is interested and needs directions
    Parking meters in that parking lot only accepts quarters.

    Conditions were terrible but better than yesterday so getting better each day.

    I dropped 25f down through the haze and surprised a 16in hog so bad he bolted 10f away and then stopped/turned to look at me. 62in of RA spring steel went clear through him and he was on the shooting line^^

    damn glass ocean while I am stuck inside...hopefully this will improve on yesterday's AWFUL viz


    hau said it was 12 ft but I would call it a lot closer to 8, maybe 12 once you were holding the bottom. aspetto was the only chance yesterday and I still didn't see anything. while dropping Icould barely see the tip of my gun outstretched

    I went out this morning from round haulover, couldn't see the bottom from the top. Viz was, Im guessing, 15ft at the most


    didnt catch any lobster, missed my chance on a fat gag
