Awesome pics man. Thanks I never get any pics of me in the water.
Frank, that nurse pic is incredible. B+w is a great idea for the unbalanced pics gopros put out. Can't wait for my 3 to get here here.
Judah's with the hog are nice too. It sure was a fatty
Nice fish Judah! Were you diving the spot where we used to shore dive north of the cut? If so, that big coral head ALWAYS holds at least a hog or some bugs.. oh and a few nurses.
Yessir. It is the spot we stumbled on together that day after you got bumped by that angry bull.
Like three years ago! HahahA
haha thats great! I thought that the spot looked familiar! I love that place. It's one of the best kept shorediving secrets of the area IMO
Shhhhhh
Hahaha

Had a great day today with a nice group of speardivers.
Ill let everyone tell their stories but we hit a bunch of wrecks in 45-55 fsw. Saw a few huge gg's. a manta ray with more than 7' wingspan and many nice fish.
One amazing snapper was seen..... In the icebox!!!! Ill let el hefe tell more about that
I got two nice meal size yellow jacks who will soon be ceviche.

i don't know if thats an inside joke :confused1:
He was literally robbed of his fish by some giant pelicans. We fed them the guts when we got back. While we werent looking one grabbed the fish, dragged it into the water, and fed it to a snook. Lolol
Today was really awesome. Too tired to report now but despite it not being a productive trip for me I had an extremely good time and got to dive in some new awesome areas and do some bucket list stuff. (Manta rays are awesome)

thanks Reef , in Trinidad when we say we got robbed , most of the time we mean we got Robbed  . glad everyone is OK and had a great day out .:thumbsup2:
Haha I just realized Judah said flock of thugs and never mentioned it was birds.
I was trying to be funny. He did have his fish stolen, just by greedy birds instead of greedy men
i taught it might have been birds but wasn't sure . [ some is lost in text communication ]:)
Flock of thugs...hah. That's a good one.
Got out with mark and Jimmy and Fernando on Sunday. We had a great day.
The weather was beautiful. A little windy out of the south primarily but the swell was way down and that made for just a little chop which was very manageable.
We launched at around 730 from homestead and headed out to some of our preferred spots
We were treated to amazing water which looked clear from the surface. We still had a solid 35 feet of vis but it was still very nice diving.
I very quickly realized how out of shape I was and figured it was going to be a hunting and technique day since I couldn't out wait them on the bottom.
I spent the first few laps around the reef finding good ambush spots and getting teased by all the big grouper who knew they were off limits.
I found a nice spot where the reef made a Cove of sand about 30 yards across and surrounded 3/4 by reef about 15' tall. I was circling the Cove and followed a nice sized cuda and followed him directly across the sand. As I was becoming clear that I wasn't going to catch him I spotted a school of big chubs cruising by. I was about to look away when I realized there were imposters in the school. About five yellow jacks were mixed in, three were about 18" and two over 24. I slowly followed the school from the surface until the chubs and jacks parted. I slowly dove and descended at a very shallow angle. I wanted to get to the big guys but the schoolies were between me and them and I knew if I forced it they would bolt and spook the bug ones. Luck was on my side and the three small guys veered off enough for me to give two medium kicks, close the gap, wait for a slight angle and pop! Right behind the gills on entry and right out of the other gill plate. He pulled a bit. Got under some coral but the shaft was right at his head and he kept bouncing out. Got him to the boat and only pulled the trigger once more all day on a nice cuda I missed
Shot some pics and videos and had a great day with the guys. I'll let them tell their stories
