Cool RIB

nice. i wonder what the price tag on something like that would be
-
50-60 grand.
-
f*ck that id get a contender for that much.
-
Saw a used one in good condition on ebay starting at 29,000 pounds, that's 44,000 USD. So I was close. I'm not saying they're not overpriced, but they are good boats for normal conditions. I have no idea how either boat behaves in rough seas, but then I don't want to be out diving.

That Yamaha F350 is 20K alone, and those Protector RIBs aren't cheap. I'd say 60k plus for the package. A nice 27ft Contender can be had for low 40's.
-
Dan, was that you driving?:D
-
I've seen a nice RIB in Haulover about 2 times, I think it is the same brand.
I saw a seatow in a Nautica RIB, it had to be close to 30ft long.
The same company makes them to 41ft long.

I don't like rough seas Frank
I am getting pretty stoked to go out again. I'm looking forward to getting to know how my boat moves.

Take it to the everglades :thumbsup2: .

Are you kidding? What for?

To get to know how it moves. Weather is looking crappy for a long time.

The video looks like the 11 meter RHIB that are used in the navy. Special Warfare Combat Crewmen use them to deliver SEAL teams. Nice boats. twin diesels. Rough ride though. Those guys knees blow out after a few years doing that.
-
I herd from a little bird, these are nice for target practice.:@ A deadly ride for pirates though.:@
DP -
that thing is a beast, i looked it up when dan started looking into ribs,, it holds 20 passengers plus crew i think
-
thats one sweet ride, is it in california or nz? ribs in the 8-10 meter range can run 80-100k and more and the bigger they are the better the ride. i have a friend with a 10m, it cruises at about 30 with 4 spearos on board and the ride is not bad at all even it rough weather. the thing that makes them attractive in europe and other places really doesn't apply here and that is weigh and the type of vehicle thats needed to tow them. most europeans don't have monster trucks to tow big plastic boats so ribs are really attractive.
revenger, goldfish, topline, ribeye, technohull and others are bad ass all weather craft but open decks make for a wet ride. here's a website in greece with lots of new and used ribs for sale just for you dan http://www.e-skafos.gr/?

Yeah, one of the main considerations I had for the rib is that I didn't want to buy a dedicated vehicle just to tow the boat, since I'm not into pickups or SUVs. I'd like to know the weight comparison of a rib vs a fiberglass boat of the same length and capacity. Because my rib still has a lot of plastic, it seems all that's missing are the side walls.

I was going to write the same thing, an 11M NSW RIB.
But the best thing about there boats is the Shock absorbing seats. They would help "rompeculo".

I don't like too many guys on board... I just need a small boat.:D
