Broward Beach Conditions

  • Thanks guys; yea Judah he had a schnoz on him for sure. Had a terrible shot on him. I followed him for so long that I was getting the "time to go up" signals from my body and he was staying just out of range and wouldn't go broadside so when he changed directions I caught him on the bias but the spear didn't even go through; the flopper thankfully kept it in him but it was just under his skin. I am not sure how he didn't pull off.

Yea Scott is definitely good to dive with. Now that I am close to the beach I am sure we will get out more often. Just need to get the yak rigged up with a anchor trolly and flag.

Today was flatter than yesterday :D
I found so few fish today that I just hoisted anchor and paddled in after 7hours in the water an 2 hogs in the yak.
You know its summer time when the beach sand burns your feet and clouds begin to form after 2pm :D

  • In the MIA today with Jenyie for a few hours. Seas were flat. Viz was 50 feet in 60 foot deep water and about 10 in 25-30 feet.

Got some hogs and a mutton myself. Jenyie cleaned up with 3 times as many fish as me including a very nice 30" mackeral. A strong uplift current in 60 feet made diving there feel like you were trying to hit 100.

On a side note, got a serious nose bleed that plagued every dive for half the day. I felt the pressure in my sinuses at first then I saw a drop of blood on my lens (thought my eye was bleeding, I freaked for a second).

    Anyway here's some pics.
