Broward Beach Conditions

  • Larry, you swam out to the 3rd reef?

Yeah. I jump in stop at the 1st reef to check out a spot I have. Then I start heading out past the 2nd and to the 3rd and start working the inside then outside ledge and past. It's not bad out there as long as it's not a weekend and full of boats.

  • Out again today this time on the ski to some deep stuff. .

Water was a little warmer and 100' of vis. Borrowed a friends suit that he left at my house, what a world of difference a good suit can make. Its soo soft and flexible compared to my cheaper suit.

lots of fish life, here's one of todays catch, he kicked my ass a bit.

    scott, sdeisen an me
I found a spot reef aprox 50X50yd that had not been hunted for a while an all the fish were surprised to see me:@
Since they hadn't been shot at an were not educated, I proceded to collect 1 big chub, 1 hog, 2 muttons and 5 porgys :attack2: :fish:

  • LB, I thought about cig. But using the ol' Cuban thinking of if the fish fought hard and the flies attack it then it doesn't have cig i should be fine. I will run a cigcheck just incase. Just need to find it.

I have a rigged DIY smoker/bbq I will try it out on.

Hau, congrats on finding a new spot. How are the chubs? I was always told they're a waste to shoot. But to me all fish taste the same. So the chubs are eatable?

  • I don't know how I missed that. hau you shot a chub, what did you do with it? don't tell me you gifted it to someone because I'll be very disappointed. and never mind that three day old report, I want to see a pic of that big snapper you shot today.
