north of ft. laudy today, very low wind, no waves or current, and clear skys. the viz didnt follow that nice trend though. prob 20 ft. in 40 fsw
seems like the fish have come shallow also
hau went out at a different time and place than me today he'll prob have different info -
South of Port Everglades today
begin at 1030am--------end at 330pm
wind from W at 6mph---from NW at 5mph
current 1/2mph from N-----zero current
viz 15f in 55fsw----------15f in 20fsw
seas flat ----------------flat
water temp 73F
57F 0 clouds overhead ---78F 0% clouds overheadHere is the NOAA forecast quote=="WEDNESDAY-NORTH NORTHWEST WINDS 7 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET."
These guys must not ever even look out the window.
Anyway, the sea was flat, the sky was cloudless, the current was 1/2mph and the wind was near zero.
Problem was the the viz was near zero also:(
Since the surface conditions were so good I went straight out to the third reef hoping for good viz. I dropped anchor perfectly on top of the third reef, geared all up and was immediately disappointed when I hit the water:(
I swam down 40f BEFORE I could even begin to see the reef
I did this for several hours an got one hog then headed in to shallower water hoping for better viz. At the first reef ledge the viz was 15f in 20fsw so I just gave up for the day

I am in! Not sure my little grill can handle that monster though. May have to find a park with grills.
Ben, that goes without saying.

Not sure where there are grilles, cuz the only spot I knew was at Dania, and they took them away. Anyone know?
I would say for us to go to the spot where Judah and I got our hogs, but there are no grilles there either. I would like to get some more bugs though... Love fresh bugs on the grille.
-
damn wish I could make it! I've been on the forum for 7 months now and only know 1 or 2 people so far.

You guys suck..
It will be cold and rainy here for 6 or 7 days, but I can see snow all over the local mountains.
At least Santa can land his sleigh.
Cheers, Don
