    Today was rough and dark. The reef at 50fsw was pretty much colorless with no sun overhead. Fish are still scarce where I was. Did see a school of spade fish and a school of chubs. I only saw 2 ok hogs in 3 hours of swimming and put them in the cooler :)
    Sure hope tomorrow is better conditions :pray:

    Good luck man, if the weather holds we should get out this weekend. Maybe grab the yaks to cover more distance.

    Today was rough and dark again. Spent 6 hours in the water an got 3 hogs an 1 mac.
    Today was my first day spearing for 2011.
    I'm hoping to get another 150 days of spearin in for 2011. That would make 150 days spearing a year for 3 years in a row.:D

    Today was dark in the water again but the sea was flatter.
    Got to meet Proulox07 and his spearin buddies today. Welcome to South Florrida :toast2:
    Again not many fish to be found on the 2nd reef. I spent 5 1/2 hours in the water for 2 hogs an 1 mac. Saw 2 little sea turtles and a moray eel today.

  • hope everyone had a happy new year and hopefuly remember theirs better than i remember mine.
    anyways got out up northish today. found some really great reef in deeper water. unfortunatly there were NOO fish out deep so i swam in over the second and first and didnt see a whole lot either. some real big margates but unless it's biig enough to beat dan's PB im not interested.. also some smaller yet legal hogs.
    viz was better in 25-30 feet than it was in 40-60 and boy is the agua gettin cold..

  • Yeah Attan they are spot on with there reports. I use my buddies subscription who usually does hook and line fishing.

    Sea and weather today was great EXCEPT there was only 15f of viz everywhere I went
    I paddled out to 50fsw hoping the water would be clearer and ended swimming back in to 20fsw and doing drops every 15min as I swam in.
    At 20fsw I could just begin to see the bottom from the surface.
    On one of the random drops I just lucked out and dropped down through the snow right on top of a 20in hog. He saw me just a fraction of a second after I saw him. He rolled over on his side to eyeball me just as I squeezed the trigger and pinned him to the bottom :thumbsup2:
