u missed my only record for Black Margate :(

  • My 276 pound Yellow fin tuna.

I did got another fish that day. ;)

I had posted a 23 pound black jack, but dont see it on the records.

I looked at the picture a couple times and then I noticed, "THAT'S A FRICKEN MARLIN LAYING IN THE SAND"!!!!
haha. No mention of that fish? What a day.

  • Harry
Thats a pacific Cubera, Don is got a 60 pounder.

Mine was not weighted on a certified scale, like my other fish were. I wll gladly withdraw my Cubera Snapper
    if a diver has a certified one @ 58lb.

I do have a massive Calico bass weighed on a certified scale that was a Neptune Record, but I need to dig out the award to remember the wt. I do remember it was bigger than my cat.;)

Thanks for the update Roberto on the Tuna and fine bill fish, I remember it now.:toast::toast:

    Cheers, Don

    Mexican Barred Snapper 19lbs

  • Mexican barred snapper....Hoplopagrus guentheri .

    Cheers, Don

    Snapperus Tastelotus Likeus Innertubeus:D
We shot a bunch of these in La Paz last month. I was not impressed with the meat. It was a lot like big black drum. You have to marinate in margarita mix for at least one hour in order to properly tenderize:toast:
