Not sure about specific situation Im just starting out. I'll be fishing i Miami and South Florida. -
i suggest rob allen 110-120 with open muzzle. i use a mako which is similar but cheaper, ur budget easily lets u go with the rob allen.
compare the two,, rob allen vecta and mako predator pro. -
Get a 2 x 16 mm bands 110 cm railgun. They're pretty much all the same.
-
go with a hammerhead or aimrite 110 cm aluminum rail gun,
i shoot rob allen and i like them. start with 2 16mm bands then move up to a 20mm single band
-
hmm. Well before jumping into a railgun. Have you used any speargun? do your friends have guns you can try out?
For the price range rialguns are great. but maybe you would prefer something else and can find it used for that same price.

Like LOMartin said, try if you can and borrow different guns and see what you like. You can't go wrong with a railgun but then again I like wood so at the end it's a matter of personal choice. But do listen to the guys here and see what they recommend.:)

Start with a Riffe C3. Later you can move to a custom wood gun with all the goodies.

:thumbsup2:
Dan you would say that gun. . .
If you can find one used or even new fits into your price range the C3X is a GREAT gun. (if you like wood) Can be used from reef to open water.

What's there not to like about wood? Check out Pantoja's dock of death in the Miami section reports. Most of that was taken with a Riffe C3, and I think the shaft has been bent for half a year now..
-
Riffe Comp 3. Go wood. Then buy a railgun as a back up

Exactly
-
Riffe Euro 110-120cm.

You recommend a Riffe C3. I found a good deal on a Riffe S3 whats the difference is it better? worse? I don't know if he still has it. Is it worth calling about?
-
I have never heard of such a thing, is probably a C3. buy it. Most emphatically:)
-
C= Competitor S= Standard series. Standards are beefier and cost more. I would go with a S3 if the price is right.
Make sure it is an S and not a C by looking at the serial number.

Standards are even better, those are real accurate and powerful. Use three 9/16´s bands on it, and get a 9/32 shaft.
