My personal spearfishing gear

    I got asked a rather broad question; what gear do you recommend? Without getting into finding out a person's particular needs, I think there's no better answer than to just say what I use. For those who want to make a gear choice based on other's recommendations, bear in mind that some equipment is more of a personal choice. For example a mask can be very good, but if it seals on my face and you get a leak then it's no good to you. Also some particular styles of spearfishing require different gear. In this thread I'm going to try to just list the gear and not get into the reasons for it, because that would get very lengthy. I will say that due to the nature of my business I had a chance to sample a lot of gear from different manufacturers, and my choice is truly dictated by what I consider to be the best for my needs. Naturally if all other things are equal I will choose Speardiver gear over another manufacturer. That said here is my choice of gear for underwater hunting in south Florida and the Caribbean which is what I know. Please add your choice of gear.

    misc gear- i use aluminum motorcycle rivets, slingline and qpowerline for my spectra, momoi mono for my 400lb stuff and garbage from ebay for my 200lb stuff, I like the tarred kevlar twine for constrictor knots(from spear it co) but I have not tried Dan's stuff yet and will for my next bunch. I used to use Dan's small ID rubber but that is gone now and I have gone back to my stash of prime line (or something like that),

    finswimworld fins stiffnes 4 . They kill my feet as if they were bear traps, but still holding after 5 years, sweet for deep dives, those had outlived my c4´s and even my Riffes
