Just read through the five pages of your reports. Nice job and some good stories. Will be in Kauai in a couple of weeks and looking forward to seeing some of these fish.

Great write up! like the video too. The water looks unreal to me, very nice!

Nice catch. Do the milkfish have many bones? They look quite similar to our tarpons.

NIce job on the Mu fish. Such a hard fish to shoot. When I was on Oahu I tried sooooo hard to get one. They ain't having it haha. Same dub song as your video... another good one....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wATBX_tNyUw

By the way where did you pick up your Abellan Denton? I would love to see one and may buy one one day.

Thanks everyone. Marco, I'm not too sure, I've never ate it before or cleaned it. makelymyday I got it from Harry (greekdiver), he's the man to talk to on abellan guns in the US. Shoot him a pm.

Hey Marco!
Milkfish have a LOT of tiny bones, but their meat is so darn delicious, so I don't mind picking out the bones even after cooking them. It's a very 'fatty' fish. Here's a video of a milkfish (or "bangus", in the Philippines) being cleaned. As you can see, there are a lot of spiny bones throughout the meat.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj7c59FJvew
They're here in UAE waters, but I've never run into any of them yet!
Great reports, jaguigui! I enjoyed the video!:thumbsup2: -

Great reports, jaguigui! I enjoyed the video!:thumbsup2:Man, I get hungry watching that video. I ate a lot of bangus when I lived in Iloilo.
And the best part of the fish is that black looking abdominal wall. When that's served it's the first part to get eaten if you're with Filipinos. All fat and soooooo good.
