Speardiver Teak Euro speargun 90cm - 140cm

  • I did. Only as its a personal preference from a comfort level of always using one. However, two bands would be ideal for most. As I don't use reels and always just one wrap, this configuration works for me (for now) as it is a 20mm short lenght rubber. Thanks.

Rolo what size gun is it?

  • Fair enough. However, I don't see the point of using a wooden gun with just one band. You get more stability with two bands compared with pipe guns, but will never swing in the water as them.
That's of course why your choice of spearguns are pipes.
With two or more bands a wooden gun could have advantages over a pipe gun (IMHO).

Anyway, it is a very nice gun and apparently it worked well for you. :)

  • It felt very well built and had a great hydrodynamic shape.
I held it without a shaft and I was able to hold it fully out stretched and hold it comfortably.
    Very balanced and light.

    i like to spear fish

  • Dan!!!
These look great. Damn I have missed out on a lot.
Hope everything is working out to roll these out some time soon.

Put me down on a list for a 130cm

Badass. It's been great seeing you create all this from the start.

  • For full frontal pics and tapers for now I urge you to visit the bikini thread :)

Medium size reel on the 110 and large on the 120.

OK but I've already worn out my keyboard visiting the bikini thread but if you insist ..... :laughing3:

Dan what are the band lengths and band pull (lentgh) on the current 120 and the future 130 and 140's?

    Thanks - beautiful guns.

  • Oscar, what is your way of measuring band pull?

Already owning two American style teak guns of similar size, Riffe midhandle 50 and 55 inch (130 cm = 51 inch) approximately, was trying to get a feel/comparison (on paper) of the power/shooting range and thought knowing the bands and stretch would give me an approximation.

    For example my 50 inch uses9/16 x 24 inch (61 cm bands (3) with a stretch of 39 inches or 99 cm - while my 55 inch uses 3 9/16 x 26 inch (66 cm) with a stretch of 44 inches or 112 cm.

Or am I trying to compare apples and oranges? I havent handled aEuro style gun sine the 60's and 70's and curious of the comparison. The Spearfining spearguns are great looking so .............. Rationalizing :nono: or is that justifying? :confused1:
